Pathfinder Roleplaying Game
Black Dragon Fight

I created this page to introduce my favorite role playing game.
I play this game every Saturday with 4 of my best friends.
We have played together as a group for 8 years, which is no
small feat. We don't play every week together, but at least
2 to 3 times a month usually.

What is a Role Playing Game?

A role playing game is a piece of interactive imaginative fiction you play together with some
friends. Usually this is played over a dinner table, sometimes online on a virtual table top.
There is one person setting up the framework and telling the story The Game Master or GM.
Think of this person as the narrator and the one who plays every character in the story besides
the main characters. The other people playing the game are the main characters of the story,
these are called Player Characters or PC's

Fantasy Landscape

Pathfinder is set in a medievil fantasy setting. There
are knights, dragons, kings, and a whole lot of magic!
You go on all kinds of different quests, sometimes to
rescue someone kidnapped by goblins. Sometimes you need
to infiltrate a nobleman's ball to spy. Whether it's an
epic adventure, a mystery, or something simple like
exploring a long forgotten dungeon. You can tell any
kind of story you want to!

How is the Story Told?

The story is told together of course! The GM sets the scene, such as eating dinner at a busy pub
and the rest of the PC's say what they would like to do. Oftentimes this is speaking "In Character".
Other times you can just describe what your character is doing.

I raise my glass in a wild gesture, my drink spilling over in my excitement.

"In Character": "A toast! I can't think of anyone I'd rather be in company with than the two of you!"

Are you ready to meet some of the characters you might play?

This website was created page by page over the course of several weeks. I progressed in skill as I worked, using different tools and techniques with each page I added.
